I like Arthur’s series very much, so I read the book today, too. Arthur and his sister are good friends.
She should have taken care of a gerbil which her classmates raise in the school during the Christmas vacation. He was named Speedy because he is very quickly. He often ran away from his cage, so Arthur’s family have to find everywhere for him. My hamster often escaped from her cage, and it was difficult for me to find her. So I can understand their feelings. The day before starting school, Speedy escaped, so Arthur’s sister so worried him. He sneaked into her bed eventually.
Actually, he was causing many troubles, but she said her teacher “He is a good gerbil”. A hamster and gerbil is very small and cute, but we can’t find easy when they escaped.
