Self introduction project

I recorded my introduction on tape for speakingIII class. This is my introduction.

Hello! My name is Ayaka Yamaguchi. I am nineteen years old, and I graduated from daiichi high school. I live in Akita with my family. There are six people in my family. I have mother, father and three brothers. My father and elder brother live in Fukuoka, and my younger brothers are identical twins.

I’ll talk you about my favorite sports. I like playing basketball and badminton. I belonged to basketball club when I was a junior high school student. The practice was very hard, so I wanted to leave the club. But I could make many good friends there. Then, I belonged to badminton club when I was a high school student. I like playing badminton, so I enjoyed it.

Then, I went to Vancouver in Canada to study during two weeks. There were many students in a school, and they were from different countries, so we talked in only English. I was very surprised when I took in a bus because a person in wheel chairs rode in the bus. I haven't seen such as the sight in Japan. I thought that Canadian custom is a good example for Japanese to follow. It is difficult for me to speak in English, but I had a good time. I want to go there again.

Next, I’ll talk you about my part-time job. I worked at a convenience store near my house before. But I didn’t like my owner, so I left the work. I work as a bowling staff now. I have working there for ten months. I want to go on with the work.

Then, I’ll talk about my hobbies. I like reading books and I often read novels before going to bed. I like comics, too. There are many comics in my room. I sometimes go to a comic cafe to read them. Another hobby is driving. I often go driving with my friends. I have a driver license, but I am a bad driver. I should practice more.

Then,I often watch DVDs for holidays. My favorite DVD is “identity”, it is mysterious, but very interesting. Please watch the movie. I also like eating. I like fruits, cakes and vegetables. Especially, I like watermelons, but I can’t eat it in winter. I want to eat it all year around.

Finally, I introduce my pet. I have a dog in my house. She is big and very cute, but she eats very much, so her foods cost is very expensive. I want her to live a long life. That’s the end of my introduction.
